Just like Florida and Arkansas, Louisiana's legislature is trying to hurt gay and lesbian families and their kids. We only have a short time to act.
Oppose House Bill 60
CALL OR SEND EMAILS TO ALL COMMITTEE MEMBERS OPPOSING HOUSE BILL 60.
HB 60 is just another example of religious fundamentalists trying to hurt gay people, but instead hurting children. That's just sad and pathetic.

HB 60 will adversely impact some LGBT adoptive parents and many unmarried heterosexual adoptive parents. We are also concerned that this is just another example of the state treating gays and lesbians as second class
citizens (and they are tossing single hets under the bus alongside the gays in a cynical attempt to prevent a court from finding the law, should it pass, unconstitutional). Further we are concerned that this bill is just yet another step towards the religious right's goal of banning lesbian and gay adoptions, as happened in Arkansas and is happening in Florida. http://eqfed.org/campaign/HB_60
