What an exciting time in history! Every day, we are closer to marriage equality in another state. With your help>, state equality groups are working tirelessly on the front lines to defend and achieve these victories.
This week, Equality Federation member groups in Iowa, Maine and New York released videos to defend against dishonest and relentless attacks by anti-equality groups such as the National Organization for Marriage (which produced the "Gathering Storm" ad). We could not be more impresseD with the work of One Iowa, Empire State Pride Agenda & Equality Maine, and we thought you might like to see what they have been up to – and know how you can help us keep those victories coming!

One Iowa just released its first , which features Iowans promoting their shared Iowa values, and reminding us all of our shared tradition of protecting all families. Pride Agenda Addresses Marriage Equality / Religious Freedom Myth
In New York, Empire State Pride Agenda, just released a powerful response to the myth that marriage equality threatens religious freedom. In the words of Pride Agenda Executive Director Alan Van Capelle, "For too long, the religious right has controlled the religious debate around marriage for same-sex couples by promoting misinformation that marriage equality threatens religious freedom. [In this video] a diverse group of clergy speaks directly to New Yorkers about their experiences since Massachusetts legalized marriage for same-sex couples."
