ALERT: Take Action for Cleaner Air
From SaveOurEnvironment.org
Top scientists and doctors say that ozone or "smog" pollution can trigger asthma attacks and harm even the healthiest lungs. However, representatives from the electric, chemical, oil, and auto industries are pushing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to weaken pollution standards!
And, unfortunately, the Bush administration's EPA appears to be listening to them!
The EPA recently proposed air quality standards for ozone that are weaker than what the agency's own scientific advisors say are needed to protect public health.
Hearings on ozone levels will be held THIS WEEK. Do something: Urge EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson to set stronger air quality standards that protect our health.
