Speak Against O'Reilly & Rush

Over the weekend Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh lambasted Democracy for America and Brave New PAC for running the following TV advertisement asking why John McCain is hiding his health records:

Rush said, "These people will stop at nothing"

Bill O'Reilly called it "the most vicious political ad of the campaign."

O'Reilly, running scared, went on to attack MSNBC and their network executives for allowing the ad to air in the first place. Shortly after, NBC informed us that they were pulling the ad.

Evidently, O'Reilly is now calling the shots at NBC. Bill O'Reilly shouldn't get to choose what you can watch on television. Call NBC right now and tell them to run the ad.

Asking John McCain to release his health records is fair and legitimate. The fact that Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly are on the attack is proof they don't want to know the truth.

If the traditional media lets wingnut talking heads like Limbaugh and O'Reilly control the agenda, we might as well throw any semblance of free speech out the window.

Call NBC right now. Tell them Bill O'Reilly doesn't speak for you. We stand with over 2,500 doctors who believe this important question should be heard. America has a right to know the answer.

McCain's Gone Too Far with His Lies - Spread the Word

from MoveOn:

For weeks, John McCain has run one of the most dishonest campaigns in American history. Even Karl Rove had to admit McCain has gone too far.1

Now it's time to strike back -— to refocus voters on what we'll get if we elect McCain president. So today, we're launching a new ad that uses the facts to hit John McCain hard—reminding voters of his numerous ties to big oil companies and their lobbyists.

This is one of the top issues for swing voters—and the ad makes McCain's record clear. But we can only get it on the air if enough of us chip in.

TAKE ACTION TO HELP SPREAD THE WORD: Check out the video and then, IF YOU CAN, help us with a donation to get the ad on the air across the country.

Obama is going after McCain's lobbyists, too. Yesterday he said, "If you think those lobbyists are working day and night for John McCain just to put themselves out of business, well I've got a bridge to sell you up in Alaska."2

McCain's ties to oil lobbyists are a real liability—voters are furious at oil companies for high gas prices.3 And McCain is showing how out of touch he is on economic issues: Yesterday, as the stock market plummeted, McCain said he still thinks "the fundamentals of our economy are strong."4

Today, we can put McCain back on the defensive, just as Congress pushes to invest in clean energy by ending tax breaks for oil companies.
